Chloe is my inspiration...
Chloe is my inspiration...
My husband and I adopted Chloe just four months before our wedding, and she quickly became the center of our lives: our sweet, beloved daughter, best-friend, and first child; our bunny.
Shortly after I began classes to become a small animal massage therapist, I came home one night to find Chloe lethargic and refusing to eat. We rushed to emergency veterinary hospital. Chloe, who never would let me pick her up, seemed to need me as I lifted her off the floor and held her close through the whole, hour-plus-long car ride. I kissed her, stroked her, and sang to her as my husband drove. Looking back, I think resting in my arms was her way of saying goodbye to me.
I always called Chloe my bunny soulmate and my angel bunny, and now, though a piece of me is gone to heaven with her, a piece of her still lives on in our hearts. She truly is our angel now, and we know that she is waiting for us at the top of the rainbow bridge, fixing us with her “come pet me now” stare. Until we meet again, we will always remember her sweet and silly ways and all of the love and happiness she brought into our life as well as the lives of those who knew her. Though her life was short, our love for her was ever-growing, and she taught us the power of a love without words through the love we both feel she had for us.
To those who may wish to do so, donations may be made in Chloe's memory to the wonderful rabbit rescue group who gave her a home before she came to her forever-family: House Rabbit Network. Please pick a bunny to sponsor who reminds you of our sweet girl.
